Oak Harbor’s Community Service Day
The Windermere Oak Harbor office divided forces and worked on two projects on June 18th. We refurbished a local park near our office and made the playground at Head Start a nice place for the children to play.
Projects at Head Start included creating a walking path, digging a trench, weeding and mowing. All in all, we basically created a backyard for the children, most of which do not have a place at their home to play.
In a wonderful thank you letter from Debbie Scheer, director of Head Start, “Thank you for all your hard work in our play area! The children love rolling in the dirt and riding on the new path. Being able to see the children enjoy the backyard means so much to us. Thank you for your thoughtfulness, it is greatly appreciated!”
